I started getting a bad itch and I think only a lathe can scratch it. I have been all over the 'net looking and reading and recently found this G0642 Grizzly. For a while I was excited about an older Delta on Craigslist, but I think I want one with more features and parts availability. The Jet knock off at Harbor Freight is also enticing but I have already decided it will prove to be too small too soon and the resale on it is not much since the retail is about $250. That Grizzly has me thinking, though....It looks like a lot of tool. This would be my first lathe and I see myself turning bowls and platters as well as legs/spindles. This lathe seems to have an awful lot of features for not a lot of dough. Any thoughts?

Appreciate it...

Bowls, plates and 600 rpm low speed = not so good.

Ask this question over on the turning forum, you will get a lot more input.
