How about a try on my calling things by right name. I have enjoyed new tools like an oval skew that even taught me to use a regular one but. They have added gouges.
Is a spindle gouge the one shaaped like fingernail and no raises edges?
Is a bowl gouge large diaameter piece of steel with straight cut on end but no raised sides?
Is a roughing gouge large diameter piece of steel with straight end grind but sides reaching up like canoe. I even enjoy using that side for finishing up stock removal. I am enjoying these tools but years ago we only had a gauge. Thanks Harry
