Well, I am down to getting the fence adjusted on my xacta saw and I will be making dust. YAY

The saw has the xacta fence and the nylon adjustmnet screws seem to be frozen. Seems like it takes a 6mm allen wrench. The wrench just expands the nylon and rotates in the screw abd the screws will not budge. I tried WD-40.

Any suggestions besides drilling them out and buying new?

Thanks

if you drill them out, can you use a drill press so that the hole will be straight and not mess the threads up
can you get a grip on the screws with a set of vise-grips or
pliers ?

If the end with the allen wrench hole sticks out far enough and is threaded on that end, even if there is just a few threads sticking out, screw a nut on it so it can't swell. If that won't work but there is some sticking out, cut a screwdriver slot which may just peel off but nothing to lose at that point. Next step, drill.

Drill a hole through them and use an easy out.

Cool them off with some dry ice and then try it
