At the flea market the seller was asking $30 and I offered $20 and took it home. A very nice Stanley 78 1/2 without any damage. It is marked on the outside, No 78 1/2, and on the inside it is marked, Stanley Rule & Level Co, No 78 1/2 Warranted, New Britan, Conn., Boxwood.

My experience is my woodworking has been better since switching to a four fold ruler and story sticks compared to using a tape measure.

It makes it seem that accuracy to the max is over rated when it comes to working wood. The stuff is going to move a bit with the weather anyway.

Here is a chart for finding or making angles from an old Stanley catalog for use with a two foot four fold ruler:

Nice ruler. I use them and my favorite is a four fold 36" .
