Hello everyone.
I usually hang around the Lathe and Carvers forums but am wondering if anyone here has any ideas for a shop made Band or Table Saw jig that could be used to cut tapered hexagon shapes between 48" and 60" long and tapering from about 3/4" to 1 1/4". It would seem to me that wood that long would flex pretty badly if not supported over it's length if cut on a table saw.
I can come up with lots of ideas as far as a sled goes but as far as indexing it and length adjustment goes, I'm kind of at a loss.
Any ideas?
