I turned this little form from a 4 x 5" blank of black walnut that was in a box of goodies I received from John Kent (thanks John!).
It was the perfect size for a quickie after work. It's got some really nice color and of course I like the little touch of sapwood.
It's about 3 1/2" x 4", finished with Antique Oil. I'll give it some time to cure, then buff and wax.

That is a fantastic piece, and agreed that the form is spot on ... the colors in that walnut along with the sapwood really make it unique. Very nicely done, I'm sure you're pleased with it!

Having a really nice piece of wood to start with, sure makes it easy to end up with a nice form!
