St. James Bay Router Plane versus LN

Looking for repair parts for a #5 I went over to St. James Bay Tools. He looks like he’s got some nice stuff.

I have an LN router plane on my wish list but his look nice too. How do they compare?

The only thing I can see is that the St. James Bay Tools router doesn't appear to have a fence capability. The LN also has a depth stop.

The fence has been useful for some of my work. The price difference between the SJBTs and LN model isn't very much.

Your profile doesn't show your location. If you live in an area where you can attend one of their tool events, you could likely not only try the router plane before buying, but you could either get free shipping or you could call ahead of the show and pick it up after trying it out.
