Many thanks to all who responded with ideas and offers of help.
Thanks to a good friend, Larry Ciccolo, I now have all the info I need. Larry drove over an hour one way on a dreary, rainy day, and brought 4 of his prized LN planes for me to take apart and photograph. It is nice to know that there are still some good guys left in this world.
