Has anyone found out or have any information as to how Laserworks imports layer color and information from Autocad.

We want to have a standard template in Autocad that has layers that co-relate to layers in Laserworks. This way when we import a new project if it is set up right we don't have as much messing around with power and speed settings.

Also, is there a library in Laserworks to set the colors to power/speed settings or does it always revert to the previous setting for that color?

Not sure how it handles ACAD , I think it exports and then imports.
As to your 2nd query
When double clicking on the layer/colour side bar (of an entity) you can "load parameters from library" and "save as" as well
So set up a drawing for lets say , Acrylic , set all your speeds , save as acrylic in the "load parameters from library" dialog and then further save the drawing as something like acrylic. Open acrylic and import your graphic and all the speeds etc you set for acrylic should be there.
Laserworks if opened automatically via a corel/acad script will always default to a drawing called default.. in that case , load the parameters for acrylic.
