Getting nice results(gloss) from spraying dissolved Shellac outdoors..

Can I add or something to get a Satin sheen and be done with it?

Thanks in advance, Joel

Yes, Homestead Finishing has a product called "Shellac Flat" you need about 5% to 8% for satin. Your mileage may vary... play with the amount, it's not difficult.

If that doesn't work for you, you can rub it with steel wool and wax. It'll be a little north of satin, but nice.

I'll try the "Shellac Flat" and also the Shellac Wet.. Havent tried the rub out.. Thanks for both.

Homestead has German or Indian processed dewaxed shellac flakes.. Is the German better in some way??
