Was listening to "The Story" (http://thestory.org/) on NPR today while doing the dishes, and there was a neat piece (http://thestory.org/archive/the_story_061112.mp3/view) about a fellow tracing the history of and restoring a Delage Aerosport Coupe. There's some pictures on the companies website, Cooper Technica (http://coopertechnica.com/1937-Delage-D8-120-Aerosport-Coupe.php) If you click on the main photo of the Paris Salon de La Automobile, there's a slideshow of photos. They were pretty neat, but some of the photos of the coach-built body and veneer work on the inside blow me away. All those bent pieces and compound curves kind of amaze me.

Nice car, but bizarre styling on the rear passenger (or equivalent) window.

I'd hate to be the person who tried to put one of those back to original.

I can identify with that project. It sure is a beautiful car. I am currently working on one of these. This is a photo of the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car.

This is where I am so far on the build. Got sidetracked a bit with my regular boat customers but will be back on the car in a week or so.
