Oak balusters 23 in all. they are 83X83X830 mm with routed edges.

Fine tool control, Rasmus! I like your extended tool rest..........making a lot of balusters would necessitate having one. I am surprised a little by how you use your spindle roughing gouge to make the long curve on the largest part of the spindle.........it works for you, so it must be good. Nice work!

i love my long toolrest. i use it a lot. the roughing gouge is mostly because its much easyer to use on the lage diameter work, and since its oak the skew tends to generate more vibartion, and they are to be painted so i sand them with 120 grit so the paint will adhere to the surface

the great ting with the tool rest is that the righthand stem is not fixed, it has a grove routed to accept the rest it self. that means its easy to fit to any project
