Lumber Haul

I have to share my Saturday find! I was able to purchase a load of walnut, cherry, some ambrosia maple, and some sassafras. The sassafras boards are shown with the tape measure: one was over 14" wide and two more were 12" wide. Also got some 4"x4" walnut and cherry squares. Purchased from fellow member Robert Ellis. I cannot say enough good things about Robert, we spent over an hour sorting through lumber. Thanks again Robert.

Good haul. That sassafras smells so good when you work it. It is very odd looking when first finished natural, almost florescent, but ages to a beautiful rich light brown.

Todd, I wasn't aware of that tradition but I appreciate the welcome. I promise to treat those boards well. I am thinking of using them in a blanket chest for my girls.
