So after complaining about the lack of quality tools here in the wild wild west, I find a Delta DJ-20 (I think its 37-380, but I don't want to go back outside and check) and a Powermatic 15 planer (the one with the roller tables). Both are about 5 years old and both made in Taiwan. Came with 7! extra sets of jointer blades and 3 extra sets of planer blades.
Questions:
How do I stabilize the planer or are the caster locks sturdy enough?
The planer was missing the key that locks the table height adjustment handle to the shaft. Is this a standard size key I can get at a hardware store, or do I need to pay ~$8 to have the OEM part shipped?
Is there a method to cover the top of the jointer dust collection chute that doesn't involve duct tape?
Thanks!
(I do have the jointer fence and guard)
