Oregon Myrtle Hollow Form around 7" (17cm) tall. Finished with Bush Oil and Polyurethane.

A bit of an experiment for me, I've never tried any form of rim like this, I usually just round them over or flare them widely.

Roger - I like Myrtle, it turns fairly easily and has enough variation in the grain to make every piece interesting. It has fairly decent chatoyance with some oil on it. I don't turn a lot of it as it is not local to me here in New England, but every so often I get a chunk.

John - I had started going for one of the slightly upturned rims and ended up with something more like a Martini shaker. I'm still on the fence about the form, some days I really like it and some days not so much.
