I received pretty exciting news today. Two of my pieces were accepted to be exhibited in an upscale gallery. I guess the real gloat will come when they sell. Wish me luck.

Congratulations!
May I ask how you contacted the gallery? Did you approach them with a portfolio or the actual pieces? Thanks.

Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement. This is a brand new phase in my woodworking.
Nick,
This was formerly a gallery of just paintings on Cape Cod. They decided to add a section for all local artisans and ran an add in the newspaper. I sent them an email with pics and they asked me to bring my pieces in. There was a lot of real nice pieces of woodworking on display there and I'm in real fine company.

Very interesting Lou, best of luck to you.
It's funny, the Lighthouse really reminds me of a piece a friend of mine did in enamel. I prefer the wood.

Lou,
Those are great. Not the kind of thing I normally go for but I do like the lighthouse and the other one would be a great gift! When the tourists invade the Cape those will be gone in heart beat!

Lou,
I hope you don't get offended, but how much will the lighthouse go for? It's great and I may have a buyer for it.
