Wow, that bowl looks great! I really like the sapwood and how thin it is. Good job!

Very nice, Chris. Quite unique, too, as it's mostly sap with some heart for accent. Makes for a kewel effect.

i had recieved a log that was 16" dia by 4 ft long cut into blanks and realized it was going to be too big for me to turn so i got out the chainsaw and cut a blank in half to get that piece
the other one will be turned tonight
turn em green and let em warp

Can you imagine people ignoring that piece of wood because it has sap wood?! It is really nice and eye catching! Do you really turn 'em green and let them warp?

turn it to under a 1/4" and it should just warp
(maybe just a few small cracks )
