Gonna go pick it up tomorrow. Haven't seen it.
It's brand new, never seen sawdust. From a private owner.
paid $2200. Is that a good deal, or just "so-so" ?
Anyone else own this saw, and can tell me what they think of it?

Really? This saw is that rare, that nobody up here owns one?

I think that saw would be classed as rare.
I have been to some huge woodworking machine stores and never seen one.
$800 off Amazon price is a good deal if the saw has never been used and it is in working order.

It's brand new, with an Xacta fence, and the 50" extension table to the right, and the roller extension the flip up, on the rear.
5hp, driven by 3 belts.

No blade guard, tho.
I wonder why it's so rare?.....

Sounds like a good buy to me, especially with the roller setup. I think most people buy the 10" because it will do everything they need. I wouldn't be surprised to find that yours is built heavier duty, as well as just a bigger blade. Is the table larger too?

You can buy a 10" saw with a 5hp motor (most have a 3hp) The only benefit a 12" gives you is the ability to cut 4X stock in one pass. Not something most woodworkers do on a regular basis.
A 12" blade has a 1" arbor vs 5/8" on a 10" saw. Only an issue if you already own a bunch of 10" blades or dado set.
