Good Afternoon fellow Creekers. For a while now I've been a lurker, but decided to join a couple of months ago.Nice bunch of people here.I've waited till I got a chance to take some pictures of some of my work. Here are some pics of a cherry side table I made while taking a 1 week course with craftsman Hendrik Varju.I consider myself as a newbie, woodworking off and on for the last 5 years.
It is forums like this that speed up the learning curve.

Cheers,
Rich

welcome to the creek..
there are a bunch of nice folks here. no sniping that I can see. your project looks pretty good for a "newbe". The flutes look real good. It is hard not to burn cherry if you did it with a router. The little cock bead is also a nice touch. you will be able to ask questions and learn a lot here from some of the really good ww's. So, now that your done with this what is next?

kind regards

lou

Wow, that is just what I am looking for. My wife wants a table like that for the bedroom. I may have to copy it. I really like the details. Can you post some general dimensions? Did you taper all four sides of the legs?

Welcome to the Creek! :) Very nice job on your table. You are right, there are a large amount of nice people here. However the picture police do get a bit testy if you don't post photos of your work. :D :D

Hi Bill,

The overall dimensions of the table is 16"x32"x30" tall. The legs are 2 pieces laminated together to create 2" square. The legs are tapered on all 4 sides starting 3.25" from the top , tapering down to 1" square.Aprons are 3" wide attached to the legs using dowels.

Thanks everyone for looking, and for the kind words.
