I used to have one of those scroll saws - it was missing the guard. Most I have seen have been missing the guard. Good score on everything!

Myk, isn't that the functional equal of the PM 45? Not being a turner I agree it is high for that lathe but I don't think the average one is changing hands at $200. The 20-160 was a better deal as I think it is like the PM 90. In any event I would think the prices for General equipment in his locale is higher than in the US, they only had one major commercial light duty machine company where we had PM, Delta and WT and from what I can see from the Canadian forums not near the used availability we have and they love their General stuff heck they love their Beaver stuff too and it is merely hobby grade (in old iron terms).

Might be high on the 10-160 .. not sure.. Up here they don't go for $200, they go about $1200 ..

The Radial arm saw went for $300 and I cant remember the uni-point but I dropped out at $700..

Western Canada is not really like the US right now, things are not cheap due to the oil boom.. Alberta is screaming for employees.. young feller's can make $120,000 a year and work 3 weeks on, 1 week off.. Resource based economy and low population .. its not what you would expect.

The auction was packed with people.. I was a bit annoyed by that .. Western Canada is funny, there has never been any real manufacturing .. so there is a shortage of used equipment.. Ya cant really import in without getting CSA electrical approval.. so its a sellers market ..
