I am looking for a olive wood blank approximently 3 x 3 x 8 to make a goblet for my son and his "wife to be" for their wedding. I plan to make it with two captive rings. I want a blank that has the dark lines running through the middle of the blank so it will have some nice figure and character. Most olive wood I have found is in the pen blank size or shallow bowls. Does anyone know of a good source for what I am looking for?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
I checked all my normal suppliers without any luck.
Then I went to this site, typed in olive wood and performed a search and came up with several sites you might want to check. http://www.woodfinder.com/

Take a look here:

I've ordered from them before with good results

Another option is Bell Forest Products (http://www.bellforestproducts.com/olivewood/wood-blanks/).
