I am looking to secure a reliable supply of small diameter, fairly straight hardwood trunks in the neighbourhood of 1 - 2" in diameter to incorporate into a line of furniture. I am not looking for seasoned or even de-barked material - possibly not even de-limbed. It is my understanding that material of this description is removed from managed woodland as thinnings. If anyone has any recommendations as to the best option for sourcing this material, I would very much appreciate hearing back.
