does anyone here know of a glue that will adhere acrylic to wood. I have a project i am working on and need to glue some acrylic letters on
wood. I tried using some contact cement and it holds but, they come off pretty easy...anyone have a better suggestion?

I use the the gold double stick adhesive tape, I put it on the back of the acryilic before I cut it.
This has help for years and haven't heard of a letter slipping or falling off yet.
Although, if the letters are small and don't have much surface area, this may not be suitable.

Try silicone cement from Home Depot.

My favorite for this and many other applications is E6000.

E6000 will definitely work but it takes time to cure. You can get small tubes at a lot of Ace hardware store.
Or get some 3M Scotch-Weld SI 100 for instant adhesion.
