I probably already know the answer to this..... but I'll ask anyway.

I put a bent spot on a bandsaw blade today. The work got away from me a bit. You know the story - trying to work a little to fast. So the blade got a kink.

Has anyone had success at removing said kink/bend? It's a shame to lose a blade that doesn't have too much use on it.

Yes, I bought a new one just like it, but still..........

But I would probably give it a try. If you take your time and do it slowly paying attention to what you are doing you can probably get it to the point where it can be your rough cut blade and posibly even better. Depends upon your motivation and patience.

I would try to remove the kick with some blocks and a hammer. You don't say what type of blade, if it is worth your time you could take it to a saw suppler, they will cut it and reweld it for you.

It's a Timberwolf, 1/2" 3TPI

I'm going the work carefully to try removing the kink as best I can. I haven't tossed it out, but I did set it aside for the moment.

Have you tried a propane torch (in moderation of course).
