Here are the pictures I promised last week. This is the large ash winged bowl that won two awards.233233233234 It is approximately 27" by 18". It is finished with about 15 coats of shellac, buffed and polished.

Heres a couple shots of the mesquite hollow form. It won 1 award. Approximately 7" tall by 5" diameter.233235233232 Finished with Deft spray lacquer, sanded down, and buffed.

This is the third piece I entered. A small winged bowl turned out of maple. Approximately 10" by 4".233236 Finished with Deft spray lacquer, sanded down, and buffed.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice pieces John and congrats on the awards! I especially like the large winged bowl, I can only imagine what that thing sounded like spinning on the lathe!

Great pics, John!!! Looks like a very high class exhibit - you were in good company and that makes the awards all the more impressive. Thanks for the video links - looks like you had a LOT of time invested in turning that ash piece. Fantastic shop!

You look good in facial hair, BTW! I don't recall that from the OVWG event.

Thanks everyone. It's hard to believe that space was an old empty building a month ago. Walls were erected and lighting installed just for this 2 week exhibition.

John- I did have facial hair in Ohio. Haven't shaved in over 25 years. My wife has never seen me without.LOL.
