This is by far the most interesting piece of wood I've worked with as of yet. Even the areas gone closer to white than the original color weren't really softer than the surroundings so it was nice to work with.

C&C Appreciated.

Now that is a classy bowl, Jeremy.........the foot is better proportioned than your last.......still could shave a little off the diameter to be perfect, but this one is a fine turning! Very nice bottom treatment as well. This is top shelf! Congrats on your progression............it is showing well!

Thanks Roger, I'm definitely doing my best to improve. Good thing I enjoy it, else burnout would be creeping in about now.

Thank you for the comments.

Very nice job on the bowl Jeremy! I like the classic shape, looks like a very nice finish, but that wood is something else! Very cool patterning and colors!

Jeremy, that wood is spectacular! And I must say that you did a very nice job on the finish, meaning no sanding marks and very smooth. I bet it is as nice to touch and feel as it looks!

Since you asked for C&C, I'll pipe up. Something about the curve isn't fluent. From the rim, about 2/3 of the way down you have a shallow curve, then at that 2/3 mark, the curve changes more steeply and cups under. Either curve on their own would work, but personally, I don't like to change up (unless it is a ogee or the likes). To that note, I would add that this makes the inside curve not follow the outside curve. And while it is difficult to see from pictures, the inside curve seems quite consistent. Which would mean that your wall thickness varies...

Other than that, that is a sharp looking bowl! Definitely a keeper.
