Found this inside a slab I was using for practice that I pulled from the burn pile. I was not aware that cedar would spalt like this! Learn something new every day.:D

Wow, that's beautiful Carole. I didn't think cedar would spalt either, but I guess it makes sinse in that part. I was just given a 12"x40' cedar that I need to go cut down. Maybe I'll cut a chunk and let it lie.

Thanks, David. Yes I took the class but we did not turn any natural edge stuff...that is a whole new experience! LOL Wood...no wood...wood...no wood...:eek:

Yes it is aromatic, John. From a cedar that I had to cut in my back yard.

Beautiful bowl, Carole. I just got some wood to try one of those. Hope mine turns out half that good.
