Happy Memorial day to you all!
Over the net 24 hours, the American Diabetes Association is challenging all participants in the Cary Tour de Cure (this weekend, June 1 & 2) to raise $100. I will be riding 170 miles over two days to raise awareness of diabetes and to raise funds to help research and assistance for those suffering from diabetes. Please help by making a donation TODAY! Here's the link for you to contribute: Tour de Cure (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https://donations.diabetes.org/site/Donation2?df_id%3D9862%26PROXY_ID%3D7796447%26PROX Y_TYPE%3D20%26FR_ID%3D8060%26s_subsrc%3Dbfgetwordo ut%26s_src%3Dboundlessfundraising&h=hAQE4a2qCAQFgx4-Km7f7czjpsrDBvmwe_s-R9fn3x3dIYA)

Ray,
Yes, I finished! In actuality, it was 180 miles, as I rode to the start from my house, and back home again after the finish. It's not a race, but more of a bike-a-thon, but, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some competetiveness going on!

Sorry, I missed this too! My wife and I do 2-3 charity rides a year. Have you ever done the Assualt on Mt Mitchell? http://www.freewheelers.info/assaults/

I grew up in Spartanburg where is starts and rode it several times officially and probably a dozen times just in my training group but haven't done it for over a decade. If you haven't done it I suggest you have a go one year.

Vandy, I have not done Mt. Mitchell, but I've done Bridge to Bridge couple of times (ends at the top of Grandfather Mtn.), and I've done 6 Gap Century about five or six times. We really need to coordinate when you're in SC!
