I havn't been able to turn for a while, I had to finish up a dining table, bench and chairs. I missed turning so much that I turned a shallow scoop in the chair seat bottom, only 3/8" deep but it actually feels better than a flat wood seat. I posted a photo of the set in "Woodworking Projects" down stairs.
just a teaser photo that you really can't see the turned part. I'm glad this is finished so I can get back to rounder things.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what the chair seats looked like and this looks comfortable. I really like the set you posted.
