Coming in from the shop yesterday, I found a box sitting on the front step. Since I had spent the morning and early afternoon cutting and turning pieces from this osage stump, a snack sounded good.

Given the return address on the box, I can’t say I was surprised to find something other than macadamia nuts inside. :D

It bears a striking resemblance to a great bowl blank!:)

Thank you Kathy! It will be another great piece of Arizona wood I am sure.
I may not get a chance to turn it for a few more days, but I will share as soon as I do!

You're welcome Baxter! I think you'll really like turning Carob.

Was the macadamia box the one it came in? Because it started out in a large flat rate box so it must have met with a little accident along the way. That would also explain why it took a week to get there!
I look forward to seeing what you make of it and hearing what you think of it.

The 12 x 18 macadamia box was what it arrived in Kathy. The lid of your box was taped on top. I didn't pay much attention at the time. Thought it was kind of odd!
I an looking forward to turning it. Its a good looking bowl blank and I always like something new! Not sure yet if I want to core it thin or thick. It will be fun thinking about it.:)
