I am making a new entrance door. I have 3 leaded glass panels salvaged fro the old rotten door.

The reason for making a new door is that the rough opening in my house is 1" too short and a door unit from the box store will not fit.

I intend to re-use these panels. They are 7" X 33 1/2" x 1/4" thick.

I would like to have the panels refurbished, replacing 4 small cracked glass panes, repair some lead, and in general, clean the panels.

The lead only has one spot that looks damaged to me.

Fine Woodworking had an article about making leaded glass panels about a year ago. I've considered udertaking the task, but would prefer not doing it.

Do any of you have any insight for me on this issue? I am in Galveston County Texas.

Thanks.
