Now that I have all the information on sanding THANK YOU I was going to finish this bowl with tung oil, that would make it a nice glossy finish, does any one have a better finish for such a bowl?

What bowl? No pic's didn't happen! Just sayin' ya know! ;):D
If there is a bowl hiding somewhere, I'd offer WOP gloss. Tung oil...real tung oil takes a long'ish time to cure.

What wood? A nutcracker bowl will likely have some nut oil present from time to time and a oil finish like Mahoney Walnut Oil may be the way to go. More info needed?

It's a cedar bowl made to be a nutcracker bowl Cedar was pcs of 2x4x9" glued together which made a peice of wood 9x9 4 inches thick and I am now thinking of using CHAPLAN BEASWAX SALAD BOWL FINISH

I have did two nut cracker bowls. One I finished with WOP and the other with Mahoney's walnut oil. The one with walnut oil has held up well.
