I picked up some wood which I thought was a good deal but turn to more experienced buyers for your thoughts. Hard to sort out the photo but there are 4 pieces of cherry 4x4x24, a maple burl block, fiddleback myrtle block, pink myrtle block, and the rest is walnut, varying sizes. The boxes that its stacked in are banana boxes for size reference. All that to say I gave 75.00, worth it or did I make a newbi mistake?

Looks to me like you did OK.

You would have done well with the maple and myrtle blanks for that much. The rest is icing on the cake!

I would have done that in a heart beat!

I see glue up's...laminates, pens, stoppers...a veritable cornucopia of turning goodies!! Sweet score!
