Which Red dor alignment do you use

Help!! I am ordering a new laser and Gweike laser and they offer two types of red dot alignment. The one through the lens and one that mounts on the side of the lens.

My old lasers had the type that went through the lens and I nver had any issues that I knew of. I was a more of a newbie then.

I know Rodney said he had some issues with the through lens and disconnected it. What does everyone else think??

I use the kind that mounts on the side of the lens. I initially ordered the through the lens kind but it was not installed. They shipped it to me but I decided not to use it. I would rather not have anything else in the beam path.
