Has anyone tried to make a check-book cover with leather?

Ray I haven't made one, but at the same time, I really can't seeing this being too hard a project. Your main concern would be to secure the book inside the cover. I'm not sure if it's just here in UK but cheques seem to be going out of fashion.

I have some and have done a few -- unfortunately very few. Don't seem to sell well at all. Thought it was worth a try. Too many people these days using CC instead of checks.

You know you have a diminishing market when they pay for the checkbook cover with a debit card!!!!

Did 100 stick-on leather backs for iPhones.
They turned out well but smelled disgusting - I would love to know what my customer's customers thought!

As Jeff said they don't sell well but did one for the wife with Hummingbirds on it and flowers
turned out very well. Got the kit from Tandy and fancy stiched it together

Thanks to all who responded. I'm writing about 12 checks a year, but sometimes I need to carry my checkbook and don't like the cheesy plastic covers. I remember seeing some really nice leather tooled ones years ago. I have an old pair of Elk Hide western boots I might be able to salvage for a trial run. I'll keep y'all posted.
