Hello, I am making some Ice Cream Scoops and I have applied Walnut oil
on the handles. Can I go right over this with Mylands Friction Polish.
Thanks in advance, Kevin

In my oppinion Mylands is not the the finish to use on something that is going to be used and washed often. Walnut oil alone is durable and can be renewed, or if you want more gloss you can apply wipe on polyurethane after the oil has dried.

Mylands is a shellac type finish. It will not take well to a lot of handling or moisture. You're better off using a lacquer type finish IMHO.

I made my ice cream scoop handles out of Corian so I wouldn't have to worry about finish durability.

Hey Kevin, Mylands is shellac and bees wax. Although it looks pretty, it doesn't hold up worth a darn. WOP would be a good choice.
