Its made in the US, right here in Michigan in fact.

Depending on the paint job of the Offshore competitor (which also has a small disc) its anywhere from slightly to quite a bit cheaper when shipping is figured in.

I'd been looking for something for general metalworking duties for a while. I briefly had one of the offshore ones i puchased used but it took up 1/3 of my "dirty" bench so I sold it. I had been keeping an eye out for one of the three wheel older units for a while This is a lot more compact. And a lot more refined.
