Stickley chair seat cushion thickness

Greetings.

Looking for help on cushion thickness for the seat and back on a Stickley design Morris chair. I am going to use marine foam since these are going on a screened porch. I was thinking 3 inches for the seat and 2 inches for the back.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I built a set of Morris Chairs a few years back, had the cushions done professionally, the back and seat pads are the same thickness and, without measuring, they seem to be about 4" thick.

Did you check the great Morris chair thread? There are over 500 posts; I'll bet someone mentioned cushion thickness.
