a crime happen to get caught and the robber claim that the Elm bark that he stole would sell for three hundred dollars a pound, and to think that we burn the bark for heat, 300 $ a pound x 1000lbs per tree THE BARK ARE WORTH MORE than the wood, it is time that the lumber yard recycle the bark instead of using it for chipboard

are all Elm trees classified as slippery elm ?

No. There are several elms like American Elm, Winged Elm, Slippery Elm, Cedar Elm, and Rock Elm. Slippery elm is also commonly called Red elm. American Elm, and particularly Slippery Elm, are the best timber trees for lumber.
