any body run into the redirect virus?

can you get rid of it??

i had it a few weeks ago. not sure how i got it
download hitman pro. the free one
it caught mine in the first 15 seconds

I have no first hand experience with either the malware or a fix. Here's a random link:

It sounds like a clever little sucker ..... hit & run leaving no trace of itself. Changes registry keys? My solution - use an O.S. that doesn't have a registry :D.

That is a pay for it software. most of the redirect fixes you find are setup to get you to buy the software.

My solution - use an O.S. that doesn't have a registry :D.
Boy, do I miss using OS/2.

There were only 4 virus written for it. Those 4 never left the IBM labs.

I've read that OS/2 is still around, just not as a desktop OS. The article said that some brands of ATM machines run it, among other users. For that matter, some flavors of DOS are still in use in places like restaurant ordering setups.

i am lucky, i have a nephew in florida that i happen to be visiting my sister, no problem, he did a restore, that sounds simple but i am sure it was not because a simple restore would not work
