Mahogany hollow pod created with the "lost wood process." It measures approximately 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches by 6 inches; carved, textured and finished with acrylics. All critiques and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Joe, I would have to admit that these carved forms aren't my cup of tea, but I can certainly appreciate the skill and artistry involved here! It takes a significant level of artistic vision to achieve the result, and without doubt, you have that. Nice work!!

What is it used for?? Ha Ha!

I have to agree with John in a way... I much prefer your colored HFs but this is cool also. I do like the modern art feel to the piece and can see folks admiring it in a gallery setting! I also really like the flat black as it allows the curves to be seen and gives it more of an organic feel.

I don't want to sound like an idiot........but I will anyways. :D What is the "Lost Wood Process". Seen it several times but don't have a clue.
