Hello everyone, these days I'm finishing a job that engages me about 3 months and then I have taken a break to "make a party" to this piece of Pao ... I'm sorry to have had little sapwood, but the idea seems good to me and I pretend to be a study for the next job .. the finish is a neutral filler .. Thanks for your assistance and advice ... :)

Francesco, this is absolutely a fantastic piece!!Possibly the best you have done, IMO. The wood (unfamiliar to me) is perfect for this, and the natural edge, voids, sapwood - they all come together with great interest. You should be pleased with this one. How large is it?

I love it. There is just so much, visually, going on with it. The bowl looks soooooo smooth and soft to the touch. Excellent work.

Wow, beautiful wood and the finish is awesome. The form has a nice, flowing, "organic" feel to it. Nicely done.

Hello John .. wood is Violeto Pao, should be the family of Rosewood .. dimensions are:
base diameter 15 cm. (5.90 inch)
mouth diameter 10 cm. (3.93 inch)
height 5 cm. (1.96 inch)
the grain of the wood is really spectacular and really helps the beauty of the piece
thanks for your assistance .. :)

Francesco,
Are you kidding me, this "small" bowl is drop dead gorgeous. What an interesting piece of wood. It's like the man in the moon. If you look at it you can visualize someone you know in it. I think I see my first grade teacher. Just kidding, it's lovely and I admire the fact that you saw such a bowl inside this chunk of lumber.
