I like this form a lot. It's classic pottery form that really looks good in a pretty wood.

That looks nice and thin. Don't you just love the way that the Bradford Pear fine grain finishes. Have you put any finish on it? I have been making some salad bowls lately from BP and using Grapeseed Oil with fairly good results as a food safe finish, but it will darken the wood.

the rim might be thinner than the rest of the hf, i love the way the bradford pear cuts. i put one coat of velvit oil on it, this piece is acting different from the other bp from the same tree. velvit oil is a penetrating oil but this piece stayed sort of pale, i expect it will darken, as i have had in a chest of drawers til yesterday. the other pieces turned a reddish brown color. thanks for looking Thomas and for your comments.
