Saw this somewhere, and thought someone might like the idea for future use

Alot of people use spoons for garden markers.....beets, carrots, etc.

Steve, I have actually been stocking up on silverware from thrift stores for that very reason. I am hoping I will be able to get $0.50 each for them when I set up at flee markets this summer.

Are these done with Cermark or something like that???? The bowl of the spoon has some depth, so where do you focus?

It actually looks like an impact marking. Not a laser.

Yes, these particular ones look like stamps, but it's just the idea I found interesting. You could do them with Cermark, through spray paint, make a mask and then spray...

That's not what I was expecting at all. Sweet though. I recently started whittling my own version of a love spoon:

I was inspired by some UK folk spoons of a similar nature I saw on Robin Wood's cite a while back.

Nice job, Sean! I'm afraid that's more than a laser can produce though.

Actually the design could be modified a bit and be a blend of hand carved and lasered. Neat concept, Sean.

A few years back, I had a customer bring me in 200 olive wood spoons to be engraved with bride and groom names and a date for his daughters wedding. Olive wood engraves very nice..
