Thanks everyone for your comments. I am begining to get my hat to fit properly.:D

I never post any of my work with the idea of getting a cover, etc. The reason I do it is to hopefully it give fellow turners ideas and/or hints of something to try. I put the piece that got the turning of the week on the AAW site to make people think about taking parts and challenging themselves into creating something. The only turning I did was the finial. The rest of the pieces are exactly like that when I pulled them out of the box. Glue, color, finish.

Still, it is darn humbling.
