I found this rough out from a couple years ago. Didn't have much ambrosia staining is probably why I didn't finish it out back then. My MIL has been in the nursing home for over 10 years, she has had MS for 45 years, and is the epitome of what Dylan Thomas says about putting up a good fight. Anyway I made her a bowl several years ago and she has had it right in front of her ever since. One of her aidessaw it and wants one to give as a gift to her mother, and of course she needs it in a week, so it was lucky that I had a rough out in the size she wanted. It is 9" by 5", finished in home brew oil, beall buffed, with ren wax.

Thanks for looking, comments & critiques always welcome!

Great looking bowl Steve! I'm sure the aide's mother will love it.

Really interesting dark border to the Ambrosia stain - almost looks like a zone line from spalting, but the beetle holes clearly show. Nice job on this one, Steve!

Sweet looking bowl. I like the little spalting. That gives it character.
