These seemed close enough to finish out. Roughed these out a few months ago when I first got my lathe.

Great form on those walnut bowls, Jeremy........the NE is nice, but has more of a pot form than bowl........good job keeping the bark on that and the spalted bowl is just real pretty.........moving along nicely with your skills! keep 'em coming........you will get better with each piece.........these are very good!

Jeremy,
That is beautiful Walnut, and the bowls are great too. You do good work, although your photography skills may surpass many of our turning skills.

Thanks Roger, Paul and Breck. Photography is my other hobby, unfortunately all I have these days is a little point and shoot. Hoping to move back up to DSLR's and nice glass again next year.

Very nice work, Jeremy!! I really like the first walnut bowl and the spalted bowl. What are the dimensions and finishes?

Beautiful bowls Jeremy! The finish looks so smooth and soft. I like how you took the bowls out and photographed them with tress and stumps. A very cool idea that I may borrow sometime if you don't mind too much.

Thanks. The spalted and walnut bowls are are around 7'x2". The persimmon is sorta oval shaped and around 9" at it's widest and 8" at the narrowest. 4" tall. The ash bowl is 9"x6". All are beal buffed, most oiled with BLO and the spalted bowl has a CA finish.

Go for it Jason, the surface they rest on is actually a big round length of sycamore I stood on end. Took the rotary sander to the chainsaw marks and smoothed it off then oiled it with BLO to darken it up some.

Very nice work Jeremy. I really like very first persimmon the most and your composition definitely exceeds the majority of us here! Look forward to more of your work.
