Superior Nicholson 14" Milled Curved Tooth File - Doctor Blade?

I ordered one of these from a tool dealer on the interwebs. It arrived today. Wow, it's aggressive and leaves a very nice surface. I assume this is basically similar to a shear cut file.

It's 1.5" wide and has safe edges. Doctor Blade is stamped into one edge. What does that mean?

Based on the way it cuts, I should have bought an extra...

Kinda silly to answer my own thread, but what the heck. Maybe someone will find it useful.

The Nicholson Doctor Blades are basically the same as the Simonds Vixen files (a friend of mine has a Vixen). His has differing coarseness on each side. The Doctor I have is the same on both sides.
