After our recent Demo at South Suburban College. I decided I wanted a bigger lathe for demo's. We have been using a Jet 1014. I have a Jet 1220 that I keep at the club. After some research, I found many use the Porter Cable portable miter box stand. I picked one up yesterday. It is pretty nice and should serve our purpose well. It was also $100.00 cheaper than a Jet stand. Here is a picture with the lathe on the stand. I now am going to make a table top for mounting and some side tables for tools and such. The best part is that it has a power assist to help raise the table. I will post more pics when complete. This is not my idea. I found it by searching the AAW and found this is what Bonnie Klien uses.
