I am looking into getting a HVLP system and I am wondering what model to buy. I will be spraying clear finishes for some doors and cabinets, not looking for the top of the line but something that will give a good finish for a hobbiest that is doing some remodeling and building some kitchen cabinets.

Thanks for the help

I've been using an Accuspray 3-stage turbine and gun for years. I recently upgraded the gun to a Fuji, and I'm impressed. If I were starting over, I'd get a Fuji system, probably the Mini-Mite. One source is Homestead Finishing: http://www.homesteadfinishingproducts.com/htdocs/fuji_systems.htm

Thanks for the reply Jamie

The mini mite 3 with the gravity gun is one that I have been looking at or possiblly the Earlex 5500. I do like the ability to spray in any position of the mini mite gravity feed but dont know if it will have that much better of a finish compared to the earlex?

Whatever you buy, look into the 3M PPS system. It allows you to spray in any position, quickly change materials, and makes for easy cleanup. If you are using WB products you can rinse and reuse the cups quite a few times.

I've been very satisfied with my APOLLO 800 ... had it for about 15 years now.

Also check out these guys. They have multiple systems to pick from and they are very knowledgeable. Just give them a call, and they will be glad to answer any of your questions.
